Kira Royal

Kira Royal earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in psychology with a clinical concentration, from the North Carolina Central University.  Her training has included working with adolescents, adults, and couples.  She also has specialized training in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions for the past 19 years.  While honoring her own path, she pivoted to lifestyle and marriage coaching in 2018.  She also provides parent training and conducts psychological evaluations.  But she continued her education and training in various modalities to expand her knowledge and skills, as well as maintain her existed knowledge.

With the right guidance and support, she believes you can achieve your goals and start living a happier, more fulfilling life. Through life experiences, twists and turns often can veer someone from the direction in which one desires to travel. However, it is important to use those moments to stay focused and locked in to better understand their life's purpose. Kira has learned that taking small steps toward overcoming those moments can be life-altering. Her focus is consulting clients so they can improve their overall well-being and accomplish their goals. She helps people struggling with their personal lives navigate challenges and find a path to success. The overall goal is to become the best version of yourselves and live a fulfilling life. In alignment with the practice’s motto, creating a space to process your path along your journey is important.

Kira is a native of North Carolina, originally from Princeville, NC.  When not working in the office, Kira enjoys planning events and teaching.  Kira also adores her free time with her husband, children, and family. In her leisure she enjoys working out, dancing, and spending time with her friends.

Keshawna Solomon, MA, LPA

Keshawna Solomon, MA, LPA is a Licensed Psychological Associate. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and African American studies. She completed her Master's in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration, from North Carolina Central University. She has 19 years of experience working with adults and children who have Autism through Division TEACCH at UNC-Chapel Hill. Ms. Solomon conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations, psycho-educational testing, and disability determination evaluations. She engages in parenting training and educating parents on resources for navigating the IEP process. Additionally, Ms. Solomon is trained as Parenting Coordinator and has been deemed an expert in counseling in the court system. Her experience includes working with children and families that are in court-involved custody situations providing individual and reunification therapy.

Ms. Solomon has a passion for health and wellness. She believes that attending to the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of an individual are important for their growth. She provides therapy to adolescents, children and adults, largely utilizing CBT, solution-focused, and play therapy techniques as well as mindfulness mediation. She prefers to take a holistic approach in treatment,  helping individuals to focus on the whole body in promoting healing. Her areas of clinical interest include autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, child development and family systems.

Her professional affiliations include serving as a Board member for the North Carolina Association for Professional Psychologists (NCAPP), being a member of the Human Rights Committee for the Murdock Center, and being a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). Ms. Solomon is continuously updating her clinical knowledge and expertise regarding the most relevant topics and treatments in the field with her participation in various conferences across the country.

Ms. Solomon is originally from Asheville, NC but now resides in Durham, NC with her significant other and three beautiful children. She loves to travel and have a good time. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, hiking, watching movies and spending time with her family and friends.
